The Roman Philosopher Lucius Anneaus Seneca (4 BCE-65 CE) was perhaps the first to note the universal trend that growth is slow but ruin is rapid. I call this tendency the "Seneca Effect."

Veritatem Dies Aperit: Time Reveals the Truth

The Resurrection of Christ -- by Piero della Francesca (ca. 1465 AD).

The Roman Philosopher Lucius Annaeus Seneca lived in difficult times, not unlike ours. Then, as now, a Great Empire was starting to follow a road that would eventually lead to its final collapse. That was clear for those who could see beyond the veil of lies that pervaded everything, then as now.

Seneca could never really face the ultimate consequences of what he was seeing, but sometimes he peered into the future, and he saw a better world that was to come. In his "De Ira" (about rage), Seneca wrote "Dandum semper est tempus: veritatem dies aperit." (There is always time, and the days disclose the truth).

Seneca was also a contemporary of Jesus Christ. It is likely that neither knew of each other, but they shared one thing: the need for truth. Christ went beyond Seneca when he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." Seneca was still a man of the past, Christ was the future.

There will be a moment when the mass of lies that surround us will collapse and fade away. On the day of resurrection, the day of Easter in Christianity, truth is revealed, and we might discover that it was always in front of us.

Happy Easter, everyone!

    Time heals what reason cannot.

It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much. … The life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully.

We are always complaining that our days are few, and acting as though there would be no end of them.

Expecting is the greatest impediment to living. In anticipation of tomorrow, it loses today.

True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so, wants nothing.

While we are postponing, life speeds by.
    " -- Seneca

    And Marcus sez:

    "
It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.

Loss is nothing else but change, and change is Nature’s delight.

Life is neither good or evil, but only a place for good and evil.

Do not act as if you had ten thousand years to throw away. Death stands at your elbow. Be good for something while you live and it is in your power.

Think of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now take what’s left and live it properly.

Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present.

Death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back.

Live your life as if you are ready to say goodbye to it at any moment, as if the time left for you were some pleasant surprise.

  2. The race into the natural future on Earth is accelerating - strong

Relentless 24/7 campaigns all over the Internet - mirrored, replicated, re-played, re-cut, re-produced, multi-site, multi-platform and all other sorts - on described horrors of injections against the pandemic - is met with almost total ignorance by the masses...

The masses are able to feel and distinguish - by instinct - what really matters - from what is synthetic and fake - adapt and move on, with whatever - little - still functioning in them...

The effectiveness of fossil fuels-run perception-controlling machines of our Western Civilisation - is getting less and less over time...

People worldwide are moving on, leaving our Western Civilisation struggling alone and behind...

Control over the masses is trying very hard, burning oceans of finite fossil fuels in the process - yet the effectiveness of Control seems stalling...

Finite fossil fuels have lasted on Earth very short time - it didn't allow Control to understand Life - having our Western Civilisation mislead itself by E=mc^2, Huxley's oceans of syringes every day, and Orwell's mountains of CCTVs everywhere - all the last 300 years.

Life is an Energy system - first of all.

As our Western Civilisation is a product of fossil fuels, Life supersedes it - having nature put more Energy into Life than our Western Civilisation.

"Energy, like time, flows from past to future"

    Wailing.

  3. The Romans spent their gold on goods from China like silk. When they ran short they invaded Dacia to procure their gold. Success, but that ran out too. Empires troops could no longer be paid, ergo empire severely reduced.

Cant help thinking that gold is now energy (oil and gas) that todays Empire craves to seize from todays Dacia (Russia). Given that it will still run out its a pointless exercise.

  4. Even better, Truth is always present: we don't have to wait in near-despair and impatience for this nightmare of constant lies (and secret poisonings and assassination) to disappear - which might well be longer than our lives last.

Like the 'Holie and Sainct Graal', it will surely manifest to those who are worthy, and who do and say what they ought, who seek to serve and protect, not dominate and degrade - or, even worse, those who take money to keep silent and forget their Oath.

Thank you once more for this blog, a precious resource in this often wearying struggle through the 'Dark Wood'....

  5. Yes I agree doing a harsh lock down is not exactly civilised.
Perhaps the Chinese Government know exactly what would happen if they apply rules like wear a mask get tested as the west has done.

People just ignore the ideas of taking social responsibly.

However that does not excuse the lock down rules in place.
Perhaps using simple ART as in Rapid Antigen Test measures would be a better idea.
Why did i call it ART?
Because look at the test kit it says Antigen Rapid Test.

Frankly we will be living with this from the last 2 years onwards it will mutate as it is atm to Covid BA.4 and Covid.19 BA.5 expect .6 and .7 shortly.

Let us just hope none of the mutations turn out to be more lethal to healthy people.
The present emulations are lethal enough to those who have health problems.

Please do NOT listen or ABSORBE the disinformation being put out by fringe groups who try to tell you this is just the flu.

Please I beg you to listen or read official statements from WHO or your Federal Health Departments.

Frankly in some states in the USA the local governments should not be trusted.
Sacking the Health Officer because they would not change the figures because the Governor wanted them to be false !!!!!!!!!!!!

To put it politely some aspects of the USA States governance is pathetic.

My apologies if this upsets your sensibilities.

    1. It is not the flu, sure, not Ebola either. I'd much rather get it than tuberculosis. I got it twice as a matter of fact.

  6. Happy Easter!
Indeed, time will tell. It usually does.
On the other hand, the great Orwell had a slightly different view of the emergence of the official truth:
“‘Who controls the past,’ ran the Party slogan, ‘controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.’”
    The winners write history.
    Peace,
    Goran

  7. Noticed you've been covering topics such as EROI, collapse, and even 'improvement'. I am in the middle of an economic work ['Deeper than Energy - TIME'], which you might find interesting. EROI is strictly a theorem for a Machine Economy - it has no basis in Life.

  8. I don't remember where I saw this painting before but I do remember there it contains some hidden messages in it. The truth is in front of us, indeed!
